María Marín de Buen — Alternative Temporalities

Despite the fact that each of us perceives time in a very unique manner, there are existing metaphors commonly defining what time should look like on an agenda or a calendar. The Gregorian calendar represents time in many cultures. It emphasizes a linear representation of time, distracting us from the parallel, intersecting timelines we experience.

The project consists of drawings, sketches and a series of agendas. By deconstructing the Gregorian calendar, it invites us to consider other temporalities and to reflect on our individual rhythms and structures of time.
